Announcement    I create handmade wheel thrown and hand built pottery out of an English Grolleg porcelain clay. All pieces are hand made, hand painted, and hand carved. My pottery is 100% dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.

I work with a mid-range porcelain clay body and fire to cone 7 oxidation in an electric kiln. My original designs are all hand painted and carved using a technique called sgraffito, meaning to scratch. I apply pigmented clay slip, or underglaze, to the unfired clay body with a variety of brushes and slip trailing bottles. Once surface work is complete, pieces are bisque fired, clear glazed, and fired a second time to vitrification.
